In Memoriam: Donny Jones
Donald Wayne 鈥淒onny鈥 Jones, who spent 43 years in the farm equipment industry and served six on our Association鈥檚 Board of Directors, died Saturday, June 26, 2021. He was 65.
Jones, son of the late Clyde and Libby Jones, joined his family鈥檚 business (Mohawk 婷婷激情五月天 Company) in Belton, Texas, in 1974. He founded Southern Sales Company in Gainesville, Fla., in 1982, which he led until 1990. Jones returned home to Belton in 1990 and began his career with Belltec Industries, serving as vice president until he retired in 2017.
Jones held several patents for designs in the drilling bit industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sailing, raising bird dogs, barbecue cook-offs, the America鈥檚 Cup, and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, two sons, two daughters, children-in-law, a brother, and grandchildren
