Janea Danuser will lead the 婷婷激情五月天 in 2020. Members of the Board of Directors elected her as president during the 2019 Marketing & Distribution Convention in St. Louis.

Danuser is vice president and co-owner of Danuser Machine Company in Fulton, Mo. The company manufactures agricultural and industrial attachments as well as OEM parts and assemblies. Danuser is part of the fourth generation in leadership at the 109-year-old company.

She succeeds Nick Jensen of Thurston Manufacturing in Thurston, Neb. Serving with Danuser in officer roles will be:

  • First Vice President Matt Westendorf, general manager of Westendorf Manufacturing Co., in Onawa, Iowa.
  • Second Vice President Tim Burenga, vice president of sales and purchasing at Worksaver, Inc., in Litchfield, Ill.
  • Treasurer Paul Jeffrey, general manager at MacDon in Kansas City, Mo.
  • Secretary Ben Hellbusch, vice president of sales and marketing at Duo Lift Manufacturing Co., and general manager at Busch 婷婷激情五月天 Co., both in Columbus, Neb. He was newly elected as an officer in St. Louis.

The officers will lead a 16-person board. Hours before their election, member companies at the Association鈥檚 annual business meeting elected four executives as directors. Beginning three-year terms are:

  • Marc Ivey, vice president of business development for Dirt Dog Manufacturing in Commerce, Ga.
  • Phil Landoll, vice president of operations at Landoll Corp., in Marysville, Kan.
  • Jon Sherrod, area manager for Bondioli & Pavesi in Ashland, Va.
  • Clair Ellis, president of Ellis 婷婷激情五月天 Co. in Logan, Utah.

Ivey, Landoll, and the officers are farm equipment manufacturers, or regular members. Sherrod represents the Supplier Associate member section; Ellis represents the marketing members.

Member companies also re-elected Carrie Gunnerson and Paul Jeffrey to additional terms on the board.

Danuser has attended Association meetings for 20 years. She is the second female president of the Association and the third from Danuser Machine Co. She says networking is among the chief benefits of membership for her.

鈥淭he Association offers different conference venues each year, and it is extremely valuable to be able to meet with others in agricultural markets, including manufacturers, suppliers, and distribution partners,鈥 she said. 鈥淲e have similar challenges, and learning from others helps to truly translate those challenges into rewarding opportunities.鈥

Third generation owner Jerry Danuser, Janea鈥檚 father, served as president of the Association in 2003. Landoll鈥檚 father Don was president in 1991. Jim Hellbusch, Ben鈥檚 father, was president in 1999.

In her comments at convention, Danuser said that whether a company has generations of experience with the Association or joined in recent months, executives have opportunities through membership to grow their network, build their business, and emerge as leaders in the Association.

Joe Sampson, vice president of sales for Osmundson Manufacturing Co. in Perry, Iowa, was elected to a one-year term as chairman of the board, which leads the Association鈥檚 supplier section. The section is comprised of about 325 companies that provide raw goods, component parts, and services to shortline manufacturers.
Also elected to officer roles were Scott Moss of Comer Industries, who will serve as vice chair; Marc Adams of GBGI, who will serve as secretary; and Mark Czopek of Sharon Tube, who will serve as treasurer. The officers are part of a 9-person leadership team chosen by the broader supplier membership.
The full supplier section held its annual meeting moments before the board elections last week at the Supply Summit & Showcase. More than 50 executives attended the meeting and elected Justen Wahl of Renold Jeffrey as the newest board member. They also reelected Adams to a second term.
Continuing their service to the board are John Brown of Myers Spring, Steve Ford Sr. of Lapham-Hickey Steel, Steve Nichol of TPA/Enok Collective, Mary Sutton of Muir Omni Graphics, and Terry Flanary of National Tube Supply, who represents suppliers on the Association鈥檚 Board of Directors.
Among the supplier board鈥檚 priorities is to create opportunities for supplier members to form partnerships with manufacturers, which includes leading events at the Summit such as golf, trap shoot, a morning walk, and an exploration of night life.
Sampson said the social events are an entry point for industry conversations.
鈥淭his is a challenging time for all of us in agriculture, which makes it a time of opportunity for the businesses that serve this industry,鈥 Sampson said. 鈥淚n my position at Osmundson, and now through this chairman鈥檚 role in the Association, I can work with manufacturers and others in the industry to find creative ways to deliver the highest-quality and most cost-effective solutions to growers, who are continuously seeking ways to do more with less.鈥
Sampson succeeds Jon Sherrod of Bondioli & Pavesi as chairman.
