鈥淎t the time of payment, the vast majority of the company鈥檚 facilities were operational,鈥 a statement said, adding that the company had made the payment 鈥渢o mitigate any unforeseen issues related to the attack and ensure no data was exfiltrated.鈥

JBS reports that the investigation into the attack continues. The hackers appear to have not gotten away with company, customer or employee data. The White House has linked Russia to the episode.

JBS is a Brazilian-based meat supplier with operations in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Europe, Mexico, New Zealand and Britain.
