Marc Ivey, District Sales Manager for Bush Hog, Dixie Chopper and RhinoAg in Selma, Alabama, has been named the next President of the FEMA Board of Directors. Bush Hog, Dixie Chopper and RhinoAg are members of the Alamo Group family of companies, a leader in the North American agricultural market known for its rotary cutters, finishing mowers, zero turn mowers, and other tractor-mounted implements.

Marc will step into the role following the retirement of Craig Harthoorn, Former President of the Oxbo Forage Division, who also concludes his service as President on the FEMA Board. We鈥檙e very grateful to Craig for his leadership and many contributions to the Association.

A familiar face to many, Marc has been an active member of FEMA for over 20 years and has served on the Board for six years. His ongoing involvement reflects his commitment to our industry and to the people in it.

Harthoorn has had a long and impactful career in the agriculture industry, with decades of leadership experience prior to joining H&S Manufacturing Co. in 2017. At H&S, Craig was instrumental in driving growth and, with Chris Heikenen, played a key role in the acquisition in 2023. Since the acquisition, Craig has led the integration efforts and the establishment of Oxbo鈥檚 Hay & Forage division, including leading the team that has brought all Oxbo mergers to the single plant in Marshfield.

Established 75 years ago to represent the interests of these manufacturers, FEMA works to influence policy decisions, advocate for industry standards, and provide educational resources.

Association President: Craig Harthoorn
President, Oxbo Forage Group

Leading the Association as president will be Craig Harthoorn, President of Oxbo Forage Division. The company is a leading manufacturer of hay and forage equipment, including forage boxes, manure spreaders, and hay rakes.

The board elected Harthoorn to a one-year President’s term beginning immediately. He succeeds Randy Reinke of Custom Products of Litchfield, Inc. in Litchfield, MN, who remains on the Executive Committee in an ex-officio role.

The officers will lead a 16-member Board of Directors. Earlier that day, at the Association鈥檚 annual business meeting, David Hellbusch, Vice President of Plant Operations at Duo Lift Manufacturing Company, Inc., was elected to fill a newly vacated board seat.

Member companies also re-elected directors whose terms had expired this year. This included Tim Burenga, Scott Eisenmenger and Paul Link of Vaderstad, Inc. who were elected to an additional three-year term as their current terms expired.

Ben Hellbusch, Vice President of Sales at Duo Lift Mfg. Co. Inc., concluded his many years of service on the Board of Directors. We wish to express our gratitude to Ben for the invaluable time, leadership, and significant contributions he has dedicated to our Association.

鈥淲e want to thank these individuals for their dedication and the time they contribute, despite the demands of running their own businesses,鈥� said Executive Vice President Steve Hathaway. 鈥淥ur leaders and members are among the top innovators in the industry, often starting with limited resources and building from there. Their ambition is the backbone of our Association, and we are truly grateful for their contributions to FEMA and the shortline industry.鈥�

While H&S did not disclose the number of jobs affected by the consolidation, Harthoorn mentioned that affected employees have the option to apply for positions in Marshfield.

The company, known for producing various farm implements such as bale processors, mixers, hay tedders, and rakes, sees this consolidation as a strategic move to ensure a more efficient and robust future for the Hay & Forage Division.
